Tactical Escape 101 commemorated by business council

STEVENS POINT — Employees of Tactical 101 Escape commemorated the grand opening of all escape rooms for all skill levels with The Portage County Business Council on Thursday.
Tactical 101 Escape has five locations spread across Wisconsin, which offers a unique and exclusive escape room experience. All rooms are designed by co-owners Jennifer and Justin Fonfara.
For Jennifer Fonfara, choosing Stevens Point over other areas took a matter of minutes.
“I drove to Stevens Point, and I’ve never been in the city in my entire life — it took me about 15 minutes to fall in love with the town,” said Jennifer Fonfara.
General Manager Michael Roderick made the move from Eau Claire to run the Stevens Point location, and has loved every bit of hard work put into the process.
“It’s been a true labor of love this past year, getting all the rooms ready,” said Roderick. “We’ve offered the rooms to groups this past year while simultaneously expanding and increasing our number of rooms and skill levels. Now we can finally say we’re at full strength.”
“It has been fantastic to see every individual and business extend their hands to us here in the city,” said Justin Fonfara. “It seems like when we all work together hand-in-hand, we help each other out rather than against each other. So I’m super proud that we found an area and [proud] of the area as well.”
Mayor Mike Wiza spoke at the ribbon cutting, and values the quality of entertainment that Tactical Escape provides to the area.
“This company provides an activity that we don’t have anywhere in the area,” said Wiza. “Rain or shine, winter, spring, summer, fall — they keep changing things, so that keeps everybody on their toes. They provide a valuable service and couldn’t be more proud to have them.”
