We’re gearing up to host our eighth annual Shredding Party, a community service event that raises money for Pacelli Catholic Schools, and YOU are invited…. Individuals and Business alike!
A few years ago in a business planning retreat, the advisors and staff of Schulfer & Associates, LLC Financial Professionals made a commitment to give more to our community. We wanted to:
1. Host an event where we could share our knowledge with our community – something that could potentially benefit anyone and everyone that goes beyond our ordinary business services
2. Make it FUN! Make it unique…..
3. Support a charitable organization that has given to our community and is dear to our hearts
Throughout the years, we frequently heard from clients how their personal record keeping documents accumulate, and they would commonly ask us, What can I shred, and what do I have to keep? That was the genesis of the idea for the event…. A spring-cleaning themed Shredding Party!
We researched the subject seeking a book, a paper, a website, and believe it or not, couldn’t find anything comprehensive. So, we authored a guide, “What to Shred, What to Keep”, that we will e-mail (saving trees!) or provide a printed copy free upon request when you RSVP for the event.
Pacelli Catholic Schools have been rich in Central Wisconsin’s heritage, dating all the way back to 1887! The schools have a strong reputation in our community and have enriched the lives of countless families, bridging across many generations. We feel it is important to support their noble cause so that Pacelli schools may continue to be a valuable resource in our community for generations to come. Our goal is to raise $2,500 through donations and food sales. All money raised will be used to purchase Library World, a web-based inventory system for libraries.
Your donations over the past years have funded very important causes for the schools including a new security system for the front entrance of the high school, materials for the Singapore Math program, robotics kits for the middle school, lockers for band instruments, computer and technology materials and playground equipment for the early childhood program. To date, we’ve collected, destroyed and recycled over 68,000 pounds of sensitive information.
So, bring your no longer needed documents. Express Recycling will be on site with one of their big recognizable trucks to collect your documents, which will be secured and taken to their facility to shred, just as they do in their daily service to businesses. Participation in our past events has been outstanding. We ask that orders greater than 10 boxes please call ahead. Donations will be accepted for the shredding service with all proceeds dedicated to Pacelli schools.
Aligned with our shredding theme, we will be selling our famous Shredded Turkey sandwiches, Shredded Cole Slaw, Shredded Potato Chips, Gourmet Cupcakes, soda and water. TO GO plates will be available. We’ll have live performances by the Pacelli band, performing from 3:30 – 5:00.
Please call our office at (715) 343-9600 or e-mail us at SchulferAndAssociates@lpl.com to request a free copy of our guide “What to Shred, What to Keep.”
